Grandparents Day Celebration at Vivekananda Matric Hr. Sec. School, Sirkali
Our school proudly celebrated Grandparents Day with great enthusiasm, warmth and joy. The event witnessed the participation of nearly 200 grandparents, making it a truly special and memorable occasion for students, staff and families.
Warm Welcome and Inspiring Speeches
The celebration began with a heartfelt welcome address by our respected Principal, who warmly greeted all the grandparents and guests. In his speech, he emphasized the invaluable role grandparents play in shaping young lives with their love, wisdom and guidance.
The event was further enriched by inspiring messages from our Correspondent Sir and Secretary Ma’am. They shared thoughtful insights on the importance of grandparents in nurturing values and strengthening family bonds.
Fun Activities and Grandparent Participation
A variety of engaging and fun-filled activities were organized especially for the grandparents. One of the key highlights was a drawing competition, where grandparents enthusiastically showcased their creativity and artistic talents, adding excitement to the celebration.
Student Performances that Delighted All
Students added charm and energy to the programme with their delightful performances:
LKG children presented a lively and adorable dance performance. A Grade 2 student impressed everyone by reciting multiplication tables in reverse order. Grade 8 girls performed a meaningful and engaging drama. Grade 2 students captivated the audience with their graceful “Wings” dance.
These performances brought smiles, joy, and applause from the audience.
Honouring Grandparents
As a mark of respect and gratitude, our Correspondent Sir and Secretary Ma’am honoured the grandparents by presenting them with tokens of appreciation. This gesture reflected the school’s deep respect for their love and contribution.
Exciting Lottery Draw
To make the event even more enjoyable, a lottery draw was conducted. Winners received first, second, and third prizes, along with three consolation prizes, adding an element of excitement and fun to the celebration.
