A Joyful Celebration Honouring Fathers
Vivekananda Matriculation Higher Secondary School and Good Samaritan Kindergarten & Primary School jointly celebrated Father’s Day with great enthusiasm and joy on 20 June 2026. The event was organized to recognize and appreciate the invaluable role fathers play in shaping the lives of their children.
Warm Welcome and Inspiring Addresses
The celebration commenced with a welcome address delivered by the Principal of Good Samaritan Kindergarten & Primary School. The Correspondent of the institution presided over the event, while the Principals of both schools graced the occasion and delivered inspiring speeches highlighting the importance of parental support in a child’s educational journey.
Special Guest Felicitation
As part of the event, the Principal honoured the Chief Guest with a traditional shawl and a memento as a token of appreciation.
The special guest for the occasion was Mrs. B. Barani, M.A., M.Phil., NET, Lecturer at Vivekananda Women’s College. She addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights on the significance of fatherhood and family values.
Student Performances and Father’s Day Tributes
Students of UKG, Grade 1, and Grade 4 expressed their heartfelt Father’s Day wishes through speeches and presentations. The UKG students delighted the audience with a vibrant dance performance dedicated to their fathers, making the celebration even more memorable.
Fun Activities and Prize Distribution
A special lucky draw was conducted for all the fathers who attended the event. Their names were entered into a draw, and winners were selected by the Correspondent of the school. Several consolation prizes, along with first, second, and third prizes, were awarded, adding excitement and joy to the celebration.
Successful Conclusion
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Vanathi, the School Coordinator. The Father’s Day celebration ended on a happy note, creating cherished memories for students, parents, and staff alike.
