Vivekananda School Joins Hands with Mayiladuthurai Police for a Drug-Free Future

As part of its commitment to creating a healthy and responsible society, Vivekananda School, in collaboration with the Mayiladuthurai District Police Department, organized a large-scale Anti-Drug Awareness Rally (போதை ஒழிப்பு பேரணி) in Mayiladuthurai.

Rally Flagged Off by DSP of Mayiladuthurai

The celebration commenced with a welcome address delivered by the Principal of Good Samaritan Kindergarten & Primary School. The Correspondent of the institution presided over the event, while the Principals of both schools graced the occasion and delivered inspiring speeches highlighting the importance of parental support in a child’s educational journey.

Students Lead the Awareness Campaign

Students from Classes 8 to 11 enthusiastically participated in the rally, marching through the major streets of Mayiladuthurai. Carrying creative placards, awareness charts, and banners, they delivered powerful messages highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse on individuals, families, and society.

Promoting a Drug-Free Lifestyle

The rally focused on educating young people about the biological, psychological and social consequences of drug addiction. Special emphasis was placed on helping students understand the importance of resisting peer pressure, making informed choices and embracing a healthy lifestyle.

Creating Awareness Across the Community

The event successfully engaged the local community, encouraging citizens to recognize the importance of preventing substance abuse among youth. The awareness campaign served as a reminder that building a drug-free society requires the collective efforts of schools, families, law enforcement agencies, and the public.
