In commemoration of Muthamizh Arignar Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanithi’s Centenary Birth Anniversary, the Tamil Nadu government organized an essay writing and poem recitation competition at Narayanaswamy Higher Secondary School in Mayiladuthurai on February 18, 2024. Students from various government, private, and government-aided schools enthusiastically participated in the event. Among them, R. Aishwarya, a student from class XI, stood out by winning the first prize at the Mayiladuthurai district level for her exceptional recitation of Dr. Kalaignar’s Purananooru poems. 

During the event, R. Aishwarya was felicitated by the chief guests and received a cash award of Rs. 5000 from the Tamil Nadu government, presented by Mr. Nivedha Murugan, MLA of Mayiladuthurai District. Our esteemed Correspondent, Mr. K. V. Radhakrishnan, and Secretary, Mrs. Anitha Radhakrishnan, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the talented student for her remarkable achievement.
