Creating Awareness Through Action

In a powerful display of social responsibility, our school students orchestrated an impactful anti-drug rally on the morning of July 17, 2023, commencing at 10 a.m. This vital initiative was undertaken under the guidance of our esteemed principal, Mr. P. Joshua Prabakarasingh. The rally was made even more meaningful with the enthusiastic participation of 55 Commerce group students from classes XI and XII, all driven by a common purpose.

A Unified Front Against Substance Abuse

The rally embarked from the Sirkali Police Station, with a symbolic flag-off ceremony led by the respected Inspector of Police and accompanied by dedicated sub-Inspectors and other police officers. Beyond our school’s walls, the event saw active involvement from students representing various private and government schools in the region, a testament to the community’s collective commitment to combat substance abuse.

Spreading Awareness En Route

As the rally progressed through the streets, it made a significant stop at the Sirkali Government Hospital. Here, our students carried placards adorned with compelling messages, passionately urging the public to join the fight against drug abuse. These messages served as a call to action, emphasizing the importance of a drug-free community and a healthier future for all.

Capping Off with a Message and Refreshment

The rally culminated back at the Sirkali Police Station, where participants were not only treated to a well-deserved moment of respite but also a shared sense of accomplishment. Amidst the camaraderie, attendees reflected on the importance of unity in addressing this pressing issue. Over cups of tea, they discussed strategies to further raise awareness and combat drug abuse within the community.

This anti-drug rally exemplified our school’s commitment to fostering responsible citizens and making a positive impact on society. It was a testament to the power of collective action in addressing crucial social issues, setting the stage for continued efforts in promoting a drug-free and healthier community.
