Vivekananda Matric School Excels in State-Level Beach Volleyball Tournament

In celebration of Republic Day, the Director of School Education organized a prestigious state-level beach volleyball tournament at Kovalam, Chennai. Representing Vivekananda Matriculation Higher Secondary School from Sirkali, Mayiladuthurai district, our students showcased exceptional talent and determination, bringing home commendable accolades. Among the notable achievers were P. Bhavana and R. Priyadarshini of the 12th standard, who clinched the second position in the under-17 girls’ category. Additionally, R. Arish Kumar and V. Nakheeran, also from the 12th standard, secured the second spot in the under-19 boys’ category.

Upon arrival at the Sirkazhi Railway Station, the students were warmly greeted by our Senior Principal, Mr. Joshua Prabhakar Singh. A lively procession, led by our school band, escorted them to our campus, setting a jubilant tone for their welcome. Within the school premises, they received a hearty reception from our management team, including Mrs. Anitha Radhakrishnan, the Secretary, Mr. R. Praveen Vasanth Jabez, Director of Good Samaritan Public School, and Mrs. Anusha Mary Praveen, the Directress. Their warm reception of the victorious athletes underscored the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a spirit of excellence. Moreover, our physical education teachers played a pivotal role in guiding and supporting the students throughout their journey, ensuring they were well-prepared to compete at the highest level.
