Olive Tree Play School Opens its Doors!

We are thrilled to announce the grand inauguration of Olive Tree Play School on July 1st, 2024, at the prestigious Dr. K. V. Auditorium. The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests from Vivekananda Matric Hr. Sec. School and Good Samaritan Nursery & Primary School.

A Celebration of Learning Through Play

The inauguration marked a significant milestone in Olive Tree Play School’s journey. We believe play is the cornerstone of a child’s development, fostering creativity, exploration, and a love for learning. Our beautifully designed school boasts three dedicated classrooms, a skill development hall, a play zone area, and a multipurpose hall, providing an ideal environment for young minds to flourish.

Renowned Guests Preside Over the Ceremony

The grand function was presided over by Mr. K. V. Radhakrishnan, Correspondent, and Mrs. Anitha Radhakrishnan, Secretary, of Vivekananda Matric Hr. Sec. School. Mr. R. Praveen Vasanth Jabez & Mrs. Anusiya Mary Praveen, Directors of Good Samaritan Public School, along with Mr. R. Alexander Heflin Isaiah & Mrs. Reenisha Jane, Directors of Good Samaritan Matric Hr. Sec. School & Good Samaritan College of Education, also graced the occasion.

We were honored by the presence of Mr. P. Joshua Prabhakara Singh, Senior Principal, Mrs. D. Saroja Damodharan, Principal, and Mrs. Deepa Pillai, Principal of Good Samaritan Nursery & Primary School. Mr. Abraham Znoch, Principal, Mrs. Jancy, Principal of Good Samaritan Matric Hr. Sec. School, and Mrs. Poornima, Mentor of Vivekananda Matric Hr. Sec. School, along with all in-charge and coordinating teachers, students, supportive parents, and well-wishers, added to the joyous atmosphere.

Inauguration of Skill Development Hall by Mr. K. V. Radhakrishnan

“Skills are the currency of the future.” With these inspiring words, Mr. K. V. Radhakrishnan ceremoniously inaugurated the new Skill Development Hall, marking a significant step towards equipping our students with essential skills for the future.

Where Play Meets Learning: Play Zone Arena Inaugurated by Mr. Praveen Vasanth Jabez

“Play is often talked about as if it were relief from serious learning, but for children, play is serious learning.” With these words, Mr. Praveen Vasanth Jabez inaugurated the vibrant new Play Zone Arena, emphasizing the critical role of play in child development. The new space promises to be a hub of active, joyful and educational play for all students.

A Hall for Every Celebration: Multipurpose Hall Inaugurated by Alexander Heflin Isaiah

“A space for every occasion, a hall for every celebration.” Mr. Alexander Heflin Isaiah graced the grand inauguration of our new Multipurpose Hall, a versatile venue designed to host a variety of events and celebrations, enriching the school community’s experience.

Celebrating New Beginnings with Visionary Leaders

The event commenced with the Thamizhthai Vaazhthu and the school prayer song, beautifully sung by the students. Mr. Joshua Prabhakara Singh, the Senior Principal of Vivekananda Matriculation Higher Secondary School, delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for the day. The chief guest highlighted the purpose behind starting the Olive Tree, emphasizing the three rooms designed to cater to various types of learners. 

Mr. K. V. Radhakrishnan, Chairman of Vivekananda Educational Institutions, delivered an inspiring keynote address, discussing positive vibrations and uplifting thoughts. Mr. Praveen Vasanth Jabez, Director of Good Samaritan Public School (CBSE), Sirkali, spoke about the skill development room, noting its role in stimulating both the left and right brain to keep students engaged. 

Mr. Alexander Heflin Isaiah, Director of Good Samaritan Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Mayiladuthurai, provided insights into the play school, emphasizing its significance. Exquisite snacks and rich tea were graciously distributed during the event.

VMHSS Cultural Extravaganza: Young Talents Shine and Enthrall Community

The VMHSS cultural extravaganza came to life with mesmerizing performances by students from L.K.G to 5th STD. These young talents captivated the audience with a diverse array of performances, including semi-classical dances, playful rhymes, creative letter art, energetic pom-pom dances, skits by budding actors, nostalgic childhood dances, and a lively hula & hoop fiesta. The audience was deeply engaged, excited to explore the play school and learn about its benefits. Attendees listened attentively to speeches and performances, showing enthusiastic support for the school’s goals and creating a warm, friendly atmosphere. The event concluded on a patriotic note with the national anthem sung by the students, leaving everyone proud to be part of the celebration. Mrs. B. Deepa Pillai, the principal of Good Samaritan Nursery & Primary School, concluded the event with a heartfelt vote of thanks.
