On February 17, 2024, an esteemed National Science Day competition took place at Annamalai University, renowned for its “A” grade accreditation by NAAC, specifically at the Faculty of Marine Sciences in CAS in Marine Biology, Parangipettai, Tamil Nadu, India. Collaboratively organized by the Environmental Information, Awareness, Capacity Building, and Livelihood Program (EIACP) and Programme Centre Resource Partner (PC-RP), the event was themed “Awareness Programme on Lifestyle for Environment (Life).” Notably, 45 members from Vivekananda Matriculation Higher Secondary School enthusiastically participated in various categories including speech, essay writing (both in Tamil and English), and drawing across three levels: sub-junior, junior, and senior.
Following the riveting competition, the prize distribution ceremony was held on February 27th at the auditorium of CAS in Marine Biology. Among the 45 participants, an impressive 21 students from Vivekananda Matriculation Higher Secondary School emerged victorious, securing numerous accolades and ultimately clinching the prestigious overall championship title. The event not only fostered academic and creative expression but also highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing scientific curiosity and environmental consciousness among its students.
