We at Vivekananda Matriculation Hr. Sec School has achieved the milestone of completing 50 glorious years of enriching the students with quality education. To celebrate our Golden Jubilee, we had a grand Inaugural ceremony on 05th June 2022.

Inaugural Speech by
Cheif Guest

The event was Inaugurated by our prestigious Chief Guest, Honourable Minister Mr Siva. V. Meyyanathan, Minister for Environment, Pollution control, Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Govt. of Tamil Nadu. The ceremony was filled with many other Honourable dignitaries like Mr. Nivedha M. Murugan MLA (Poompukar), Mr. M. Paneerselvam, MLA (Sirkali), Mr. S. Rajakumar, MLA, (Mayiladuthurai).

To make this day more memorable and to mark the beginning of more success, we have started the new year by organizing three services for the betterment of our students, community, and society.

Volley Ball Tournament

Sports has played an important role in uniting our country. We at Vivekananda school appreciate and motivate talents to pursue their dreams in sports. Marking this historic day, our School organized a State Level Volleyball Tournament (open category) at Lalitha Kuzhadaivelu stadium. Our Honourable Minister, Mr. Siva. V. Meyyanathan paved the flag for the tournament. The winners and runners of the competition were awarded a cash prize worth ₹70,000.

World Environment Day

The Golden Jubilee of our School was Coincidentally held on the same day as the World Environment Day (05/06/2022). To fight global warming and to build awareness on protecting our motherland among the students, honourable Minister Mr. Siva V Meyyanathan distributed saplings to all our students as part of the ECO Club initiative. Students pledged to do their part by planting more trees and building a greener community.

Community Service

The philanthropic ideology of our trust members has no bounds when it comes to serving and helping the community. The Vivekananda Education trust has donated goods of over ₹4 lakhs to needy people. The team did extensive research to donate Wet grinders and goats worth around four lakhs to around 50 people who were living under the poverty line, unemployed elderly people or widowed to get rightly benefitted from this scheme.
