GSNP Children’s Day Celebration 2025: Honouring Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru with Joy and Learning
The students of GSNP (Grades 1 to 5) joyfully celebrated Children’s Day on November 14, marking the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister. The event was a vibrant blend of learning, creativity and cultural expression, creating many beautiful and lasting memories for our young learners.
To pay tribute to Pandit Nehru’s love for children, students enthusiastically dressed up as Jawaharlal Nehru, reflecting his iconic style and ideals. Through thoughtfully prepared skits, energetic dance performances and a traditional Tamil Villu Paatu, the children showcased Nehru’s life, values and contributions in an engaging and age-appropriate manner. These performances not only entertained the audience but also helped students develop confidence, teamwork and stage presence.
The celebration was held at the Auditorium Block, which was filled with excitement and applause as each performance unfolded. The event beautifully highlighted the importance of cultural heritage, creativity and experiential learning, reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic education.
The programme was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Mr. R. Alexander Heflin Isaiah, Senior Principal Mr. P. Joshua Prabhakara Singh, Principal Mrs. Saroja, and Mrs. Deepa Pillay, whose encouragement and support added significance to the occasion. Their presence inspired the students and made the celebration even more meaningful.
Overall, the Children’s Day celebration at GSNP was a heartwarming event that celebrated childhood, honoured a great national leader and provided students with an enriching platform to learn, express, and grow together.
