We at Vivekananda Matriculation Higher secondary school have successfully organized our 50th Annual Day Celebration for 2 days on 27th and 28th of January 2023.
50th Annual Day Celebrations
We had a grand celebration that was perfectly organized and coordinated by our staff and students. This event gave an extra boost of stamina and energy to all our students to actively take part and showcase their talents and creativity through various performances like dance, music, drama, and cultural events. The event also had motivational and heart touching speeches from our school management. The event also comprises prizes and awards section where the students were recognised for their outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements
DAY ONE
The 50th Annual Day Celebrations began on 27th January 2023 at Lalitha Kulandaivelu Stadium. The event was blessed with many dignitaries, Mrs. U. Archana, Revenue District officer, srikali greeted the event as the chief guest. Other honorable dignitaries were Mrs. A. Renuga, Chief Educational Officer, Mayiladuthurai. Mr. B. Sivadoss, District Educational Officer (Private School), Mayiladuthurai. Mr. V Dakshinamoorthy, President, Sattanathapuram Panchayat. Mr. S.S.J. Visagar, Thittai – Sattanathapuram, Union Counsellor. The day was filled with various music and dance performances by our students who rocked the stage, the dignitaries were awed by the students’ performances and presented awards to students with outstanding academic performances.
DAY TWO
The Next day had the same energy as day 1, students were waiting on their toes to showcase their talents through oratorical competitions like speeches and showcased the lost art and history in the form of dramas. During day 2 the event had numerous dignitaries, honorable minister of environmental and climate change, Thiru. Siva. V. Meyyanathan, was the chief guest. Other honorable dignitaries were Thiru. Nivedha M. Murugan MLA poompuhar, Mayiladuthurai Dist DMK Party Secretary. Thiru M Paneerselvam MLA Sirkali. Thiru S Rajakumar MLA Mayiladuthurai. Tmt. Kamalajothi Devendran, Chairperson, Sirkali Panchayat Union. Tmt. Durga Parameshwari Rajasekar, Chairperson, Sirkali Municipality. Thiru V. Jayaprakash, Chairman, Kollidam Panchayat Union. Tmt. Poonkodi Alexander, President, Vaiteeshwarankoil Town Panchayat. At the end of the event awards and prizes were distributed to students by the dignitaries for their academic and extracurricular activities.
