Vivekananda Matric. Hr. Sec. School Revels in the Grandeur of Its 51st Sports Day
The vibrant morning of January 24, 2024, marked the much-anticipated 51st Sports Day at Vivekananda Matric. Higher Secondary School. The occasion commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. P. Joshua Prabhakara Singh, the esteemed Senior Principal of the institution. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as our dignitaries hoisted the flag, with the presence of Mr. N. Prabhakar, the distinguished Physical Director of Government Higher Secondary School, Sankaranpandal, as the chief guest. His inspirational speech set the tone for a day of celebration, encouraging students to showcase their talents while fostering sportsmanship.
The sports day unfolded with students from KG to the 5th standard demonstrating their prowess in a dazzling array of activities, including shapes, mass drills, aerobics, yoga, lezim, and silambam. Events such as hurdles, running races, and medicine ball throws brought out the competitive spirit in participants. Inviting parents, teachers, and community members to witness the culmination of months of hard work, the day celebrated the dedication of both students and staff. The festivities reached their pinnacle with Mrs. Deepa Pillai, Principal of Good Samaritan Nursery & Primary School, delivering a gracious vote of thanks, followed by the resonant notes of the National Anthem, echoing a day of achievement and unity.
